XRD Graphite has developed its bushing materials specifically for wear-prone applications, with targeted optimization in formulation and forming processes to address the core issue of structural uniformity.
- Hardness matching with operating conditions – Do not blindly pursue high hardness. If hardness is not properly matched to the actual工况, the bushing may become too brittle and suffer edge chipping under startup impact. A balance between hardness and toughness is essential.
- Material structural uniformity – Bushings with loose structures and high porosity tend to generate abrasive debris from self-wear, accelerating material loss over time. In contrast, bushings with uniform, tightly bonded structures maintain a smooth wear surface and stable clearances throughout service.
With 30 years of experience in graphite product R&D and processing, XRD Graphite has served the wear-resistant industry with bushings for pumps, agitators, centrifuges, and similar equipment. A notable case: a German client’s commissioned project last year, for which XRD tailored the formulation and forming process according to the specific operating conditions. The resulting wear resistance was so high that even our own machining tools struggled to cut it, and the client reported excellent satisfaction.
