Incidents can happen anywhere, from office site to factory floor. They can happen to anyone, from employees to visitors. In an effort to improve workplace safety, XRD Graphite invited safety auditors from Baofeng Safety Training Center to provide enhanced health and safety training.
**Raising Awareness through Training**
During the training, auditors encouraged our employees to identify potential hazards, from wet floors to broken furniture. They also presented case studies of real-world incidents to raise awareness.
XRD Graphite will ensure:
1. All employees receive safety training in their first year. We will develop an internal case log for the training.
2. Employees are actively involved. We have formed an internal safety audit group with members from all departments.
3. Leadership is committed. Effective change starts from the top. Our General Manager, Dongdong Zhao, built this business with safety as a top priority. As he says, “Keeping employees safe at work is at the core of our culture. Every employee has the right to go home safely and healthy every day.”
**Forging A Culture of Safety**
“A good safety culture depends on the participation of both leadership and employees in maintaining excellence,” says senior safety auditor Qiang Liang. At XRD Graphite, creating this culture involves:
•Regular audits to identify hazards. We make corrections to prevent incidents.
•Reporting all near misses. We investigate them and share findings company-wide.
•Encouraging active participation in improving standards. All ideas for improving safety are considered.
•Providing regular safety education and training. Both new and experienced employees build safety-minded habits and mindsets.
•Offering incentives and rewards for high safety performance. We recognize individuals and teams who champion workplace safety.
Through collaboration at all levels of our organization, we strive to achieve the goal of zero workplace incidents. Safety is a journey, not a destination, but by forging a culture that puts safety first, we are committed to safeguarding the wellbeing of all.
