Material selection process:
- Match material grade according to customer’s working conditions (speed, temperature, load).
- Confirm machining feasibility based on drawing requirements.
- Different forming processes (molding / isostatic pressing) have different blank size limits; select the appropriate process based on the bushing size requirements.
Key principles:
- Having large blanks does not necessarily mean large bushings can be produced—operating conditions dictate the material direction.
- The same drawing calls for different material choices when used for heat-dissipating parts versus dynamic load-bearing parts.
- Large dimensions combined with high speed impose entirely different requirements on material’s centrifugal resistance and structural uniformity.
